an insight to my college projects

This past year i've been working my ass off crazy with my A2 photography projects. Although I dislike the college curriculum, as you cannot freely express your art, concepts and ideas, you do gain so much more knowledge focusing on artists....

If you're into the idea of 'the body being a canvas' and like a bit of the weird and creepy then ZHANG HUAN is your man. Originally a performance artist from Shanghai, China he has explored the weird and wonderful world of art, expanding his talents to the incredible New York.

ZHANG HUAN may not be to your taste, but if he is, take a look at these beautys...

I focused my Unit 3 A2 project on manipulation of human form. I find the body the most complex thing upon this earth. What you can do with your body is just magical. I incorporated Zhang Huan's work within my project as his body is the art. That's the point.

I THEN EXPLORED & FOUND THIS MAN.....

ERWIN WURM
'one minute sculptures'

This project was called 'one minute sculptures' and it literally is what it says on the tin. WURM's concept behind his work was the body producing unpredictable behaviour. His subjects would perform for one minute, and one minute only. WURM has created some of the most berserk but brilliant photographs.

A few of my own...

This photo was my favourite, the way the body is cradled, resembling the foetal position just makes this picture. I didn't even mention this to the model, he just did it, which adds to the surprise!
